Barry Switzer believes that his beloved Sooners will do what the Baylor offense couldn't when it lost 49-17 to Oklahoma State on November 23. Sooner's will "Hang Half a Hundred" Saturday! Anyone want to bet Old Coach !!!! #coachescabana — Barry Switzer (@Barry_Switzer) December 4, 2013 This is big speak from the outspoken Switzer, who earlier this season congratulated Bob Stoops for setting the record for wins as Oklahoma's head coach before he actually set the record. Entering the game, Stoops was tied with Switzer for the most wins as OU's coach with 157. Oklahoma beat Iowa State that Saturday, but not before trailing 10-0. When was the last time that the Sooners hung half a hundred on Oklahoma State? Well, it was just last year, when Oklahoma won 51-48 in overtime. And in 2008, when Oklahoma scored 61. Overall, the Sooners have eclipsed that mark 14 times against the Cowboys. But it's safe to say that it's pretty farfetched this season. Oklahoma has scored over 50 just once in 2013 and that was against Tulsa. Trevor Knight got the start two weeks ago against Kansas State and Oklahoma won 41-31. He'll get the start again on Saturday, but the Oklahoma State defense may be the best one he's seen all season. Plus, while rivalry games are usually incentive enough for teams, Oklahoma State is playing for a BCS berth at home while Oklahoma is simply playing to either go to Dallas or San Antonio for a bowl. Do you want to congratulate Switzer on a correct prediction or mock him if he's wrong? Stop by Yahoo's Coaches Cabana on Saturday afternoon to interact with him. - - - - - - - Nick Bromberg is the assistant editor of Dr. Saturday on Yahoo Sports. Have a tip?
