Art Briles brother Eddie passed away this morning in Abilene, TX. He apparently suffered a fall at his home in Haskell, tx last night.

From what I read that was the last of his Immediate family.

That is terrible news. Art and his family is going through a hard time. My wife and I are praying for him and his family.

Prayers for the Briles family. Horrible time of the year for something like that.....not that there is ever a good time.

If you didn't know, Briles lost his parents and grandmother to a fatal crash when he was in college. His brother was his only immediate family member remaining. He now has his own family, but what a horrible stretch of tragedy.

My prayers for Coach Briles.

If you didn't know, Briles lost his parents and grandmother to a fatal crash when he was in college. His brother was his only immediate family member remaining. He now has his own family, but what a horrible stretch of tragedy.

Yup, Cept I think it was his aunt who they said was "Like" a Grandmother to him. The story is they were on their way to watch him Play against SMU when a Tanker truck hit em Head on.

Ever since I've known of him, Briles has seemed like a genuinely good man. I'm particularly sad to see such tragedy befall him.

It was all three, mother, father and aunt.
