Du’Vonta Lampkin
Defensive Tackle
6'4" 295 lbs
Cypress Falls High School
Houston, TX.

Scouts, Inc. 4 star
Rivals (Not evaluated)
ESPN 4 star

Needs work on his pass rush, but already a plug-and-play run stopper. Could be excellent with some college level coaching.

This 15 class is rolling already. I can't wait for our first 2* to commit and throw everyone here into a tizzy.

say what you want...and I look more into who else is recruiting the kid, yes he is being looked at by a/m, nd, etc.. My son is trying to get a scholly playing baseball...decent size and arm strength..he's a "potential"...why is he not being recruited by big schools? Several reasons, late start, late bloomer, late dedication, but the biggest is because he isn't good enough right now.

That is how I see these recruits. I don't get too excited, yes I might seem a little blah about them as well. We'll see.

Even that doesn't tell you much about a kid.

Eric Striker has offers from Cincinnati and Tennessee (that's it). Recent OU commit Dwayne Orso had no big offers, but as soon as OU offered, other schools started showing interest.

Football recruiting is nothing like baseball recruiting. I think baseball recruiting is much, much more difficult, because far more kids are still raw players in high school.
