...is the primary issue a talent vaccum at the QB position, unfortunate/untimely injuries, poor evaluation/development in recruiting, a lack of discipline/poor fundamentals, a complete and utter lack of leadership, or a misguided offensive philosophy?

...I say yes

It is a rebuilding year, but the injury bug has devastated us.

Quit f*cking around with gimmicky offenses and defenses and do what Nick Saban does:

(1) Run on offense
(2) Stop the run on defense

It's not sexy...unless you call three national titles in four seasons "sexy."

I hate seeing OU keep sliding further into mediocrity each year.

We have been sliding into mediocrity since the appearance of the horse pigs.

Coincidence?
I don't think so.

Injuries at key positions and poor depth. Lack of talent and smarts at tge QB position all add up to a loss.

Blake Bell is not a good QB. He does not have the ability to read a defense, locks in on receivers and is not a strong runner. It amazes me how he practically walks towards the line and then kind of falls down instead of lower his shoulder and blasting through the line. He is a big teddy bear type. Not a hard nosed, tough competitive football player.

Defense gave OU the start needed. Offense laid a giant turd.
