I just finished Dark Tide by Stephen Puleo, an account of the Great Boston Molasses Flood of 1919. I thought it was well done, was able to see his vision of Boston a century ago. What a strange way to die, being crushed and/or suffocating in a molasses tsunami. This industrial accident cost the lives of 21 people.

I'm presently reading Known and Unknown by Donald Rumsfeld. Looking at 9/11 from his harrowing perspective is truly interesting. No way I'm going to read the entire book... at least that's what I thought when I started picking through it. It is very good, yet makes me wistful.

Fiction-wise, I picked up an old copy of Team Yankee by Harold Coyle. I read it 25 yrs ago. I'm enjoying it once again.

Under the Dome by Stephen King. Another one of his thousand page books. Very different from the tv show and pretty good so far. This book is heavy. I need a kindle.
