At several positions, we are lacking #6 -> football players (specifically DT and LB). You just can't be a good defense with a soft middle. On O, we are lacking scheme AND players that fit together.

Execution. An opposing team should not be picking up 8 yards on a run so often unless the players just aren't playing.

I hope so!! Bc this is an easy fix!! But getting whipped up front by Kansas on National TV... WOW!! I hope that Okie35 is correct, and I was just expecting us to be able to dominate Kansas.

We are missing our starting QB, ILB, and DT. Tough to overcome key injuries. Not just making excuses, but that's a big factor that needs to be included in any discussions about our performance.

Our O line let more men through than Madonna's panties.

As long as we won I'm good. You think ohio state says this every game when they barely beat mediocre big ten teams?

HA! :D
True, and that's going to happen as long as we see 10 players at the LOS who aren't afraid of us completing any passes longer than 7 yards downfield. And because we have a ton of talent at RB and they HAVE to respect that.

Both lines were whipped for that first 20 minutes. Once the lines stopped letting KU feed on them like cream puffs, we started making things happen. I don't know enough to know if the line play is more on the coaches or on the players.

Our lines have been soft for years and I don't expect that to change overnight, but it is getting worse. Hopefully, jerry Montgomery can bring in some physical guys

Coaching, scheme and game planning (which is all on the coaches). Saying the players aren't executing is still on the coaches who recruited the players and are responsible for putting them in the best possible position to win.

We benched our QB! Blake isn't hurt? Or did Bester take his spot?

And btw was texas missing any of its d personel?
