Series record is 43-59-5, but OU has only scored 19 less points over that time (1,805 - 1,824). Is this the year OU takes the lead in total points scored in the series?

OU is 8-4 when ranked by AP and Texas is not. (4 losses from 1989-1992)

Last time OU or Texas won while losing the turnover battle: OU - 2002 (35-24), Texas - 1997 (27-24)

Stoops record vs Texas when turnovers are +1 (7-0), even (1-0), -1 (1-5)

Since 1970, OU is 22-6-2 vs Texas when rushing for more yards, 0-11-1 when Texas rushes for more.

The first of these is the most telling stat in terms of contributing to the outcome.

The second is quite interesting but a result of the outcome, not the cause of it.

For all the bragging theOrange Cow faithful like to do about their lead in the overall series,the domination suggested by the record is ancient history.Since Bud's arrival in Norman OU has the series lead 32-31-3.During that span OU controlled the series in the 50's,70's,80's,00's and is currently up 3-0(soon to be 4-0 ) in the 10's.Lay that on any Orange Cow fan who resorts to the tired WE OWN THE OVERALL SERIES drivel.They did own the serires 70 years ago, now not so much.
