If Bell gets knocked of the game say in the first quarter, will TK be able to pull off the victory?

Knight in the game will throw the Texas defense into even more chaos because they obviously aren't planning for it. But can we win the game entirely on the ground? Do you think TK will be able to move the ball through the air?

So, history proves a non-starting QB can lead their team to victory in the OU-TX game.

Kinda like that. As I recall though, both Thomas Lott and Billy Sims didn't play due to injuries suffered against tOSU the week before. It was a shame that the '77 and '78 Heisman winners didn't get to face off that day.

With knight starting OU averaged almost 300 yards on the ground.

Yes the passing wasn't quite what we wanted. But it was good enough for the defense to think about it.

The biggest knock on TK right now is ball security. His throws will come. But he has for to slow the game down to be able to secure the ball and make good throwing decisions.

Of course I hope Bell doesn't get knocked out of the Texas game, but since he does run with the ball, it is likely he will be knocked out of some game in the future. So TK has to be the man at any given moment.

Have you seen the Texas defense? Who's going to knock him of? Mike Davis possibly, but only after he doesn't hear a whistle.

Edited to add: BYU got (Texas) school record yardage against that defense.

Actually, the passing was quite terrible. Even with his 9 of 16 performance in the 1st half against WVU before the injury became a big problem, the 9 completions weren't exactly good throws. As it stands, he's just not very accurate in live games and that was a problem at the prep level as well. I hope he gets that aspect together, because he seems to have about every other quality you would want in a QB.

I guess Bell could run into one of our players, say an O-lineman or Millard trying to block, and that might cause an injury, thus forcing Bell out of the game. But any tejas players hitting him and knocking him out is highly unlikely.

Well, it turns out Bell getting knocked out of the game early may have been the best thing that could have happened to us.
