There were no upsets last week-end for OU to go UP. Many thought OU should have won by a larger margin against TCU, but do not hold other schools to the same standard.

It's the AP. I couldn't care less about where they rank us.

Every 1-loss team in the country is whining about the lack of upsets, like they think it's someone else's turn to get dropped from the national title picture :D

Mizzou, on the other hand, can continue being undefeated and continue being ignored by the Coaches Poll top 25. S-E-C! S-E-C!

Georgia needs OT to beat Tenn and we drop.

Somebody help me here...when BCS poll begins, does strength of schedule mean a hoot?

Even if it were Kentucky, Georgia wouldn't move. $EC $EC $EC

The needed OT and a flukey unforced turnover to beat them. Georgia is vastly overrated.

I could care less about the polls right now. Just win out and let that determine what happens to us.

Teams above OU in the polls will fall if no other reason than some of them still have to play each other (Oregon/Stanford, FSU/Clemson, LSU/A&M).

If the Sooners go undefeated, they will rise.

We're number 8 on the projected BCS, according to cbssports.com.

Against LSU TCU was driving to take the lead with under 8 minutes to go in the game but settled for a FG to close within 3. Then LSU took the ensuing kickoff and drove for their final TD which sealed the game. In that game Boykin had to come off the bench(I think) so he didn't have the reps of being the number one QB inreparation for LSU.

TCU got screwed royally in the TT game by the wonderful Big 12 officiating crew. TCU is a very good team. Notre Dame is a very good team.

If I understand correctly, it isn't in the main BCS formula. However, it is in some of the computer rankings. If that makes sense.

This.

I quit looking at the AP rankings years ago. They mean as much as what the guys at the local 7-11 think.

Yeah, didn't they throw a hissy fit years back to NOT be included in the BCS formula? Relegating them into the IDGAS category.

Yep. That was arguably the best thing to come out of the BCS, getting rid of the media poll.
