Sandwiched between Domer and Whorns.

All thoughts now on Texas. Going to be a fun week!

The D showed up so I am happy. Horns shouldn't be able to take advantage if Nelson is out next week.

Don't tell me we were looking ahead to texass for gawd's sake. TCU was going to be much more of a problem than texass is going to be.

Jekyll and Hyde game tonight. Lots of good, some not so good.

I don't think OU was down for this game at all. Our defense played great. We missed Nelson once he went out.

As to our offense, TCU has a very good defense. The O may have been off some, but Bell turned in a gutsy performance.

Nelson potentially, who else could be out?

Pass or no I think Blake needed a game like this especially before the more "significant" ones. I like the fact he doesn't turn the ball over.

Corey won't be out he just had a sore shoulder and Julian was back the next few plays.

This game just shows Bob's wiliness. Keep it close to give Texas a semi-hope they might pull off the upset next week...then ship them first-class to Mudholeville. I can almost hear Bob's BWAHAHAHAHA right now.

Bob didn't seem too concerned in the post game presser. He acted as if Colvin should be fine to practice this week.

Tcu has a great defense and their rushing offense is pretty good. I'm surprised we'll not really that we held then to 44 yards rushing.

I was impressed last night by our RBs not continually running up the backs of our OL into a brick wall, but actually using some misdirection or 'cut-back' and patience to find the hole and get to the 2nd level. I see this all the time from other quality rushing teams (especially the 'patience part' waiting for the hole to develop), but I haven't seen it much from our RBs, who seem to do it more on natural ability rather than play design or coaching. Hopefully this won't be just a one game occurrence and we'll build on this.
I was a little surprised that our supposedly vaunted receivers couldn't get much separation from the TCU back 7, but they have very good DBs who are definitely well-coached.
Overall, it was not an impressive win, but a win is win, especially against a pretty good team the week before Dallas and a week after beating ND.

ND.

I loved the time Bell did this, waiting. I commented last week that vs ND he didn't wait. He just took the ball and head down ran. But that little pause is what made the Belldozer so successful. Just that second to wait to pick a hole.

Jordan Phillips didn't play a down last night. Wonder why he didn't play. Nobody mentioned it and there a quick snap shot if him on the sidelines.

It was a traplet sandwich game! I'll create the wikipedia page...

The biggest difference in last nights game was the kick off after TCU scored their first points.

Gary Patterson gambled and it paid off for his team to grab the momentum and to keep the OU defense on the field.

I wish Stoops would take some gambles again!

Ankle. Stoops said on radio he could have played last night. But wanted to make sure he was 100%.

Why are we giving a pass? We won the game. Do we need a pass if we win?

Anyone that's paid attention knows that TCU has arguably the best secondary in the country, and several defensive linemen that OU recruited. TCU will end up with one of the best defenses in the conference this year. Although I thought we would score a few more points, I expected this to be a fairly close game.

Injuries
Phillips had some kind of "genetic" issue that "pops up from time to time". That's per Stoops, he also said that he should be good to go for practice this week.

Nelson - Stoops played it off as a sore shoulder, and didn't seem concerned.

Every one else was "fine"

(This is all from the post game presser).
