Things sure bounced his way last night for sure. Horns have been 'lucky' far too long...

Mack and Les Miles must worship the same God.

Mack and Les Miles must worship the same God.

That would be 'Yaluk', Mayan God of Lightning. Unfortunately for Les and Mack, they got on board with him before reading their way through to the part about the annual deovtions his followers owe him. These include harvesting one's own sacrificial blood
by means of a stingray spine driven through the devotee's member. Said to bring a feeliing of oneness with the God.

This is said to be the source of Les' 'Let 'er rip!' battle cry.

I fear that since this has happened over and over that Texas continues to get special treatment in the Big 12--big surprise, no?--and is the reason for so much dissatisfaction with the Big 12 conference by past and current members. Plus, I'm sure Disney/ABC/ESPN didn't want Texas to have a losing game right before the RRR...

Speaking of, I missed this piece when it ran in late August, and while it's not all that surprising, it's certainly enlightening and informative.

Interesting read, because it really spells it out, but it's not exactly news.
I don't really resent it though. They are paying, all schools are benefitting. Small price to pay.

The Keith Stanberry interception in the 1984 game is the one that I remember the most.

and speaking of, this was in The Oklahoma Daily student paper this morning.

Lane Kiffin WAS the luckiest man. Tennessee, Raiders, USC..............with that resume. WTH? He must be the greatest interviewer in the history of job searching.
