Texas will roll ISU ... only real interest here is to see if their next "great" QB Swoops gets in the game and how he looks. Texas is a mess, the folks here in Austin know it ... but ISU (and Kansas) are just that bad and are the two games left on Texas' schedule that they should win going away. General mood here is the Horns will get a nice little win tonight and then the horror show begins again in Dallas in a little over a week. Most figure this Horn team is a 7-5 team tops.

ISU loves to play giant killer once a year, so you know the crowd will be worked up. Texas hasn't shown they can stop anyone on offense (and ISU looked like they may have found something last week, although it was against Tulsa).

Ash is out, McCoy is too derpy to win on his own and Swoopes is an unknown freshman coming off of an injury.

Texas is favored by 7 1/2.

ISU is a bad football team. They have almost no team speed anywhere, especially on defense. Their o-line is below average, QB is average. Didn't they lose to an FCS team?? And this game is 24-20 in the third.

That being said, I can't tell you how unimpressive the horns are. I guess I haven't taken time to watch them this year, so i havent had the pleasure of seeing their ineptness yet. If we play well against them next week, I think Bell could run for 150 and pass for 300. As a team we could put up 40 or 50. Defensively, I think we could get a ton of pressure on McCoy.

That being said, we could lay an egg too. I'll wait until after this week as this game against TCU scares the heck out of me.

Texas is, without question, at least last night, the luckiest bunch of bums I've ever seen. When they need something to bail them out, IS took care of that for them. At the most crucial times, when major yardage was needed, Iowa State accommodated by committing pass interference, or some other stupid penalty. Texas got a gift, particularly on that last drive.
