I'm intrigued by George Clooney's new flick Gravity, but otherwise, I really have no interest in anything out now.

The Conjuring is one of the scariest movies I've seen in a while. I actually got chills watching it.

Saw that one too. I like all of those guys, so I knew what to expect going in, and I wasn't disappointed.

I've gone back and fourth about that one. My oldest son is typically my movie partner, and he's always up to see those kinds of movies, but he won't go to that one.

That was very funny. I can give or take Sandra Bullock, and I didn't think she'd be able to match Melissa McCarthy, but she did a good job.

I've seen several movies lately but none I'd care to write home about.

Looks like several promising ones are coming out this Fall.

We went and saw Rush at the Alamo in Littleton, good movie, good pizza and a couple of Breck Avalanche.

If you like F1 racing it is pretty much a must see, my wife liked it and knows more about racing now than she ever thought she would before meeting me but not really race fan. She also liked the Senna documentary, both have enough non-racing story lines to keep an non-petrolhead interested. They mixed in a lot of historical footage along with action filmed for the movie.

Saw The Family with DeNiro/Michelle Phiffer.

Good, not great. Some cute moments of sudden violence by the whole family.

Rush has interested me just because it's a Ron Howard film, and that guy doesn't make bad movies. I'm not a huge F1 fan, but it's good to know that non-F1 fans will enjoy the movie.

BTW, the Alamo is awesome! The guy that owns it is one of the more quality individuals I've ever met.

We pretty much only went to the Alamo (South Lamar location) in Austin. We don't go to a lot of movies so when we do go we want it to be a better experience than the average theater.

We saw the Prisoners when it opened. I went into this movie actually excited to see a movie for the first time in a while. I would give it a 7/10 and call it a disappointment because of my expectations. Good acting, they do a good job of whodunit and whether or not the kids that are kidnapped are dead or alive but I think they tried to hard to make the movie have twists and they wasted Terrance Howard I thought.

Saw Gravity in Imax/3D last weekend. $16. Wish I had sat closer. Spectacular graphics and a decent plot despite the critics.

Enjoyed it thoroughly.

Like watching a James Bond film, either I suspend belief or am blissfully ignorant but I enjoy it all the same.

I haven't heard any critics saying anything bad about Gravity at all. Everyone seems to be loving it. I'm off Monday and I'm thinking about going to see it.

Neil Degrasse Tyson took to twitter to point out several scientific inaccuracies. But, like me, he really enjoyed the movie despite that. There are 2 scenes where Bullock takes off her space suit I could watch on a loop. :)

Not in a theater, but I'm watching The Swamp Thing on ABC, with Adrianne Barbeau.

ABC showed the whole damned OU Texas game but deleted Adrianne Barbeau's topless scene.

That swamp thing is one strange superhero.

Saw Gravity Saturday (after the morning debacle in Dallas).

Here's my thoughts (I've blocked them so not to spoil anything, so if you don't know how to view the following: simply highlight the text with your mouse)

I loved, LOVED the look of this movie. We too saw the IMAX/3D version, and I can't imagine a better movie for the IMAX and 3D experience. I will also agree that I should have sat closer. This is one movie that would probably look even better if you sat closer to the screen.

There was so much to love about this movie. The graphic effects, the score, even the actors (I'm not a big Clooney fan). All of it excellent. At one point in the movie, I actually had that pit in my stomach, the kind of feeling you would probably have if you were in space and knew the only thing between you and floating off to die, was a small piece of nylon strapping. Just an incredible job by the producers/directors.

I absolutely loved this movie, but there were a couple of things I didn't care for. First, the scene at the end, when Sandra Bullock was using the fire extinguisher to navigate was just too hokey. Just seemed out of place in a movie that had been so realistic to that point. Then, the way the movie ended. I felt like it just stopped. I'm sure that was the intention, but I felt unsatisfied.

Other than those two little gripes, this was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. It wasn't a long movie (I think like 1:40), but even so, it flew by!

We saw Gravity last Saturday and really liked it. The wife even liked it. Didn't see it in Imax3D, but in Real3D. VERY solid filmmaking, coming from a filmmaker. Bullock will be nominated, fo sho. Better role than Blind Side... Although a harken back to her role in Speed, just better. See it in the theater. You'd need Sony's 84inch 4k to get the same out of this at home. Clooney was... Clooney. Dude is great now that he realizes what his impact is on a project.

The last movie I went to at a theater was The Deathly Hallows. The next movie I go to at a theater will probably be Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

48 out of 48 critics, listed by Metacritic gave Gravity a positive review.

There have been scientists who have criticized it, but movies don't have to reflect reality to be high quality. It's not science, it's art.

I saw a former astronaut on the news giving his review, and he said he really liked it "but there were some pretty unbelievable parts". No way! Really?! In a movie?!

Since 99.9% of the people that will see it will never be in space, I'm thinking nobody really knows or cares.

Good movie, but as mentioned above, it should be seen in the theater.

Tomorrow night I'm taking my daughter to see the remake of Carrie. The original is one of our favorite movies. We know it won't live up to the original, but we're looking forward to it.

Breasts momma. They're called breasts and every woman has them.

When my girls were in high school and getting ready for dances I would always say to them, "They're all gonna laugh at you. They're all gonna laugh at you."
