The records I looked up:

99, Troy DeGar of Tulsa to Wes Caswell (1996)
By OU: 86, Boyd to McDaniel vs. West Virginia (1958)

Wahoo McDaniel: colorful guy, and no one to mess with when he had a snoot full:

My wife does. I was watching an episode of AWA Championship Wrestling on ESPiN Classic about 2 years ago (a match featuring Wahoo) where the announcers mentioned "Wahoo McDaniel" about 100 times during the match.

So I gave my wife a quick Wahoo bio. Now anytime we here something said/spoken/referred to repeatedly, especially to an irritating degree - Wahoo McDaniel is our codeword.

i remember that Tulsa 99 yard TD. that was real low point.

we lost every game at Owen Field that year. winless in Norman.
