Anyone who really discredits Bell bc its "tulsa's defense" needs to just stop. Bell is far and away better than TK at passing. He is completing the short yardage passes unlike Knight. I'm talking bubble screens and what not. The intermediate throws are on the money too. Sonwthing TK could not do consistently.

I don't think it's that much of a mystery that TK got the start. Read the players defending him in early articles...TK could make a the throws in practice, plus run like he does. Put the lights on the freshman, though, and the pressure changed the result...that's not too rare for a freshman. Not every talented freshman is JFF. Bell has been here, just not as a starter, plus he's two years older. His production didn't drop off between practice and game time, when the lights are in your face. TK will be back when the Bell era is over, I hope.

Agreed. Not to sound like an "I told you so" guy but I thought Bell should have started from the beginning. In my opinion big game experience (especially like in a south bend environment) is far more valuable than slightly better athletic ability.

Bell has been absolutely dominating. He has been extremely sharp, and on time. In total and complete control of the offense.
