View Full Version : Any good games on Saturday night?

From what I've seen, there doesn't look to be a decent game on (ABC's night game is ND vs Purdue).

There are a couple of good afternoon games on after the OU game:

Alabama @ A&M
Tennessee @ Oregon

Am I missing any good ones?

That's decent. I'm not sure Cal is any good this year, but it's football...so I'm sure I'll watch. Otherwise, I may try to watch the KU/Rice game.

I watched some of the Cal-Northwestern game opening weekend and Cal got off to a good start but ended up losing to Northwestern. They looked pretty good early, they had the lead when I turned the TV off.

Wisky @ Arizona State is the late game on ESPN.

Also, Ole Miss @ UT, if you're lucky enough to have been among the ones (yeah, I'm in that group) to have had LHN shoved down your throat.

UCLA is @ the Bugeaters @ 11 AM on ABC if you can flip channels fast enough. :)

Well you can always fly to Thailand and watch or listen to the OU game live with me..It's on here at 11pm Saturday night. So there is a great game on Saturday night....just depends where you live.:))))

LOL...good question. I've just got college football fever...I'm the guy that watches the FAU/UCF game on Thursday nights.

I don't remember an ABC Saturday Night prime time game with an apparently as bad of a matchup as tonight's game with Notre Dame-Purdue. Purdue lost to Cincinnatti 42-7 and barely beat Indiana St and Notre Dame is 1-1. Not sure what the execs were thinking.

It would be a good game if the Rebels were to kick the stuffin' out of the Longhorns. I'd watch it and cheer for the Rebs all day!!!

Mrs Colonel Reb and myself are quite looking forward to the UT/Ole Miss matchup.

Though uncouth and possessing and inordinate lack of talent and sophistication, all the while being coached by a lower pedigree, the game should be enjoyable. We have a pitcher of Mint Juleps ready, and some snack crackers. Anything larger and we might strangle while guffawing at the inept whorns.

Go with Wisconsin @ Arizona State. See how two teams who look dominant against teams not in Big Boy football (and yes UMass really shouldn't count as an FBS school) look against each other.

After Michigan laid an egg today, I'm thinking the close win over ND last week showed that neither team is that great. Wouldn't surprise me if ND loses this one.

ASU v STANFORD. And MICHIGAN ST v. NOTRE DAME. Not a lot but I will absolutely watch msu spank notre dame. We'll also get a good look at pac 12 teams-teams that are in a conference ranked higher than the big 12, for whatever that's worth.

I will lay my hands of healing upon the tv screen for Colorado State (vs. Alabama - espn2) and SMU (vs. Texas A&M - espnu)....with also a prayer for miracles.
