Sumlin comments on Manzier

I was just reading on ESPN that he did not need a response from Manzier when he walked off the field. Sounds like BS to me. How desperate is a program/coach need to win that it will put up with this insanity. After spending almost 2 decades at the bottom of a conference they will do anything to keep their winning QB on the field. Does not say much for Sumlin.

It just says that he's more interested in 'this team' than in 'this program'. This is the sort of thing that ruined Tennessee and Miami and is ruining Florida and USC.
I would like to see harsher and more immediate penalties from the NCAA or whoever precisely because I'd like to see more emphasis on the programs rather than the annual teams or the individual players. With players already there for four playing years max, you have enough upheaval in programs each year. You don't need to incentivize selling out for one great season. (Auburn? I'm looking at you).
