"..never had a real chance." ???? How about every day in practice, dipwad writer?!

The Panthers are going to keep two quarterbacks this year, after getting rid of one who never had a real chance.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Panthers have released (https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/373788268573122560) Jimmy Clausen (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5574/jimmy-clausen), leaving Derek Anderson (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/3233/derek-anderson) as the only backup to Cam Newton (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/6491/cam-newton).
Clausen, the team’s second-rounder in 2010, fell into a ridiculous situation, and was never able to regain his footing. Drafted during the team’s awkward transition from old to young, while coach John Fox was on his way out the door, Clausen was chunked into the deep end, won one of his 10 starts, and then never attempted another pass once Newton was drafted.

He spent the last two years as the team’s inactive third, but new Panthers General Manager Dave Gettleman came from a Giants organization that was always comfortable keeping two, and without having drafted him, was under no obligation to hang onto a project gone wrong.
