That Kim Jong-un is quite a character...supposedly sent an ex-girlfriend to the firing squad for making a sex tape and selling it. And for good measure, threw her relatives in jail as well.

I hope it was one hell of a good sex tape.

Don't you know that there's some long suffering bureaucrat in Beijing, the one who's in charge of China's relations with NK, who came in, read the morning briefing, and immediately got his bottle of maotai out?

I read this at a different site. Speculation is that Kim's wife, who was formerly a part of the orchestra before getting married, asked Kim to get rid of his ex (and some of her former colleagues too, it appears).

There was also speculation that they were doing pro-other-group propaganda, a serious no-no in NK.

Someday, ignorant teenagers are going to be calling others North Koreans or Kim Jongs instead of Nazis.
