I haven't been to a game in Norman in 25+ years as I now live in AZ. I'm taking my son to his first game in Norman. I can get tickets in section 1,2, 9 or 10 but I need some info first. How low is too low to enjoy the game? In other words what is the lowest row anyone would choose and still have a good view of the field.

Thanks for all the information.

Awesome! I took my youngest to his first game last year (OU/OSU), and there's nothing better than getting to enjoy the experience through their eyes.

I've sat all over the stadium, but I do remember being on the 3rd row (behind the Iowa State bench) and having some trouble seeing at times. Honestly, there aren't many bad seats, but if I had to be picky, I'd start at about row 10 and move up.

The huge crown on the field is gone. Visibility is way improved down low. I remember only seeing the heads of the team from across the field.

We sit in section 9 - 10 area row 5ish and can see just fine.

If I'm sitting in a section near the endzone, I want to sit in row 20 or higher because it's easier to see the opposite end of the field from the higher rows.

Was in the front row of north endzone for that Gameday game vs No. 1 Mizzou in... 2007, I think? At one point late in the game, the crowd was so loud that I was cupping my ears while yelling.

Something to keep in mind--- the closer you are to the field, the louder the fans are behind you :)

the NEZ is my favorite section - but i prefer to be 20-30 rows up

Warning to the older folks: You will stand till about quarter 4, when a lot of people in front of you have left. You'll only get to sit during timeouts. But, if that's what you wanna do :)

Also, pray that you don't end up next to XXXL. The Owen Field bleacher space just does not accommodate them (or heaven forbid, if he brought XXXXL with him)
