Sad news y'all.
Dave Graw, the picture taking guy at the SF.com tailgates passed away some time this weekend.
My family and I spent the weekend down at the lake house on Texoma and when momma got home she tried to call him. No answer. My youngest son was heading to Norman and momma gave him a key to Dave's apartment and asked him to check up on him. He found him in his apartment. Called 911, but it was too late. He was gone.
He wasn't feeling good last week, and momma checked up on him a couple times. Last time she saw him was Friday before we headed to the lake. He was feeling pretty puny, but seemed OK. Damn.
Anyhow, please drop a thought/prayer for Dave if you would. He was a good man.

That is a terrible situation all around and I am sorry to hear of it. I hope everyone recovers well. As for Dave, I wish the classic Irish saying applies. May he be half an hour in heaven, before the devil knows he's dead.

Dave was the guy in the St. Louis hat.
We spent the day yesterday getting his arrangements taken care of and started cleaning out his apartment. He has a couple brothers and a sister but they've been estranged for a long time and none of them are interested in helping out. We were pretty much his only family.
Anyhow, we're going to have him cremated and the ashes will be mixed with the ashes of his two cats (yeah, I know, WTF??) cause that's what was in his will. Momma will drive them to Iowa and put them at a cemetery where he bought a place for an urn.
One final thing. If you're a diabetic, galdammit take care of yourself. Mt. Dew, Coke, and Dr. Pepper will kill you deader than dead.

Whats Funny is He was there every home game Taking Pics Yet wasnt a Sooner fan persey

I didn't get a chance to comment on Dave's passing until now.
I am truly saddened to hear this news. He was always such a friendly, considerate, engaging man that I enjoyed talking to at every tailgate. I worried time and time again about his health as some days you could tell that he wasn't feeling 100%, but he wouldn't miss the games. He will be missed.
So, I think each home game, I will be posting to remember Dave. He was a great Sooner, and even better man.

Bless his lovin' heart. I'm getting tired of all the losses of great folk lately, including one of my own. May God cradle Dave and all those who hold him lovingly in their hearts gently in the palm of His hand.
We'll all see each other again, but in the meantime those of us left behind hurt like hell.
