This looks like a very winnable regional for the Sooners. Not thrilled about going to LSU for a super though, can't stand those people. Not much love for the Big12 in the tourney.

The Colonial Conference got three teams in the tournament. The baseball committee is a joke. A&M got in the tournament even though they couldn't make the SEC conference tournament. The RPI was obviously completely jacked this year, but the committee still used it to a T.

It's really tough to say, since the west is loaded. They should definitely be a good team, though. They should have a pretty stout defense. A lot of big questions on offense. If Long can stay healthy as the elite LT he has been, Austin can be a big playmaker this year, and either Quick or Cook steps up, this team should be one of the top teams in the NFC.

That was an awkward series of events. Horan got on for VT because Fisher didn't come over to cover first. Fisher should have had him picked off, but they miss the throw to second, and he gets in safely. Horan gets up to go to third, which he likely would have made, but he falls, and has to go back to second. Then he takes off to steal third in what the announcers are convinced was a missed sign, but he makes it anyway (not a base stealer, no outs). He's easily safe, but the ump blows the call and calls him out. He would've scored on the HR.

Here's the rub Sir Steve. IMO, other than calling a squeeze where he might have been a goat, Sunny really hasn't done anything different.

OTOH, our players have managed to execute better on defense, and come through with some timely hitting. They've even managed to win with some of the most horrendous 3rd base coaching I've ever seen yesterday.
