Phone is still out, giving a different message..thanks Dean for the info. I don't know what is worse, knowing or not knowing. May 3rd was the same way, I had no idea which direction it was coming from and did not hear from her for 3days.

She lives in the apartments that sit on May on the east side of the street, damn...I never had a good feeling about that area. But her husband wanted to move closer to the airport where he works. If you hear anything could you PM me? I would really appreciate it.

Godspeed to all of those affected by this horrible tragedy. Those of us in Alabama can relate and understand the sense of loss that you are feeling. You see, once you have lived through, walked through, or volunteered in a disaster area like many of us have, you just can't even see that kind of devastation on television without being emotionally connected and wanting so badly to help in some way. It changes you. You know the pictures you see on tv are only a small fraction of the reality. You know there are so many devastated, in shock, in pain needing a shoulder to cry on, someone to hand them a hot meal and remind them to eat, and a pair of hands to dig through the rubble to find one momento that has survived. I know many of you share these sentiments and know exactly how it feels. Prayers to all in Oklahoma.

Newcastle got hit, and there was some damage. Nothing like what happened to Moore, though.

Phone calls aren't making it through very well, but try texting. I was in the area today, and I couldn't get any service, but I had wifi, so I sent my brother a message on facebook to let him know I was safe. I know some people were using twitter to let people know they were stuck. Check social media if they have any.

it all kinda started at Newcastle. they were warning people in the casino to take cover, but it was just getting started there and wasn't as well organized from what they were saying later. i didn't hear much about damage there

i drove through SE OKC around Tinker to get home. it went south of there, like 104th i think in that area

Why oh why wasn't that school built better? At least some of the interior halls? My heart goes out to those families.

I know I'm getting to this late, but Cox was down hard last night. Including phone service, which may have been the OP's issue. North of 240 escaped. Draw a line from Newcastle to Lake Stanley Draper and that's pretty much what I watched from my neighborhood yesterday afternoon.

I saw it spin up till it roped out about :45 minutes later. It was beautiful and terrifying at the same time.

I got some video and photos but nothing like the media coverage was able to get. In my video it was so quiet 2 1/2 miles from the tornado, you can hear birds chirping while the tornado is ripping apart lives.

Sunny lane and Sooner Road had lots of debris this morning a mile or two south of 104th. Didn't see any damage. Had to take Anderson Road to get back to
Norman last night and will likely do the same today.
