Liz Cambage has basically been dicking around with the Tulsa Shock even before the team drafted her.

Cliff's Notes version:

-Said she didn't want to be drafted by Tulsa
-Was drafted by Tulsa, so then she said her quotes were taken outta context
-Went to Aussie Olympic team, then didn't return to Tulsa
-Said she looked forward to returning to Tulsa after a WNBA season off after Olympics...
-Then didn't return.

...now returning? But why?

She got replaced by Britney Griner. (http://www.kwtx.com/_254sports/home/headlines/Griner-Signs-With-Chinese-Pro-Team-205902401.html#.UZVJ82fnfTo)

She wasn't going to come back to Tulsa bacause some Chinese team signed her to a big ($400K-$500K annual) deal that would be revoked if she got injured in the WNBA... but that team signed Britney instead, so due to league rules that stipulate one non-Chinese, one Chinese on roster, they had to dump the spare non-Chinese... Liz Cambage.

So now she is returning... allegedly reportedly. (http://www.tulsaworld.com/article.aspx/Liz_Cambage_returning_to_Tulsa_Shock/20130516_695_0_Attent162571)

Here's hoping they don't need to axe Courtney Paris from the Tulsa Shock roster to make room for this Aussie Aussie Aussie oy oy oy diva. Yes, OUr Courtney Paris is on the Tulsa Shock now. She had a great preseason and was likely going to be a solid team contributor... until Liz Cambage and her dick moves continued.

Gag. This whole situation makes me want to continue not attending Shock games.

Nah, I'm not trying to start another thread like that, but I suppose I could have chosen other words.

I just don't see the team keeping 3 centers with their roster limitations. I just hope they cut the other one and not Courtney if Liz isn't lying and actually returns.

As I feared a few weeks ago, they cut Courtney to make room for Whizz Cambridge.

DEAD TO ME. As such, I will beat it like a horse throughout the season as they edge their way toward another high draft pick or being folded due to low attendance

I don't mind going to women's games if OU is playing, or my GF's daughter... but even after coaching women I have no desire to see professional women's bball. Honestly don't have much desire to see professional men's...unless to see a certain player. Pro game just doesn't do it for me.

BUT that would be bad for CP. I'm probably one of the few OU fans that never thought her game would transfer to the pro scene. Not a great shooter, not big enough to go against lean athletic 6'7 centers...but hope her the best.

I have decided that this thread will now be entitled "The thread where the Tulsa Shock sucks." All season long, or at least until they get at least one Sooner on their roster, they suck... it really doesn't matter if I say it or not, because it is kind of redundant and common knowledge at this point, but since they decided to choose that loser from Auztrailya over OU's own CP3, THEY SUCK THEY SUCK THEY SUCK!

Now, some might view a 17-point loss on the road (http://www.tulsaworld.com/article.aspx/Diggins_Shock_fall_on_road_to_Dream/20130526_29_B2_ALNAFr924234) as a great way to start their alleged new and improved roster.

Some might think that Diz Ambage's 13 points is good for a former No. 2 overall pick.

Some might think that Skylar Diggins is from Notre Dame and that alone means that she sucks too.

Since they were only down by 4 at half, that's a moral victory, right?

More like amoral victory. Losers!

Next loss: 2 p.m. today hosting the Washington Mystics. They used to have Michael Jordan playing for them, but the owner decided that he wasn't selling enough tickets anymore... or something.

Shock lost in overtime yesterday. More than 7K attended. Next loss scheduled for Friday in New York.

You cut a Sooner from your roster, you are cursed.

The Shock lost again last night at New York in OT on a last-second shot. (http://www.tulsaworld.com/article.aspx/Shock_falls_in_overtime_to_New_York_on_last_second/20130601_29_B1_Bodyte260420)

Their next loss is scheduled for 5 p.m. Sunday at Chicago.

A hearty ha-ha for what will likely be next WNBA franchise to fold.

Let that be the lesson for WNBA teams: Do NOT cut Sooners.

Second verse, same as the first. I am Henry the Eighth I am, Henry the Eighth I am I am...

And the Tulsa Shock lost again! (http://scores.espn.go.com/wnba/recap?gameId=400445764)

Next loss: 9 p.m. June 7

BRING COURTNEY BACK OR THE LOSING CONTINUES

OK, they are officially off the "dead to me" list --- due to injuries they have brought back Courtney. (http://www.tulsaworld.com/article.aspx/Courtney_Paris_rejoining_Tulsa_Shock/20130606_413_0_Courtn261914?subj=298)

I have upgraded their next scheduled contest to "game" as opposed to "loss."

Next game: 9 p.m. Friday

I just wanted to let you all know that CP3 helped Tulsa Shock get their first win of the season (http://scores.espn.go.com/wnba/recap?gameId=400445790)

Sadly, couldn't keep the win streak up to 2 (http://scores.espn.go.com/wnba/recap?gameId=400445797) but at least they survived till OT in the loss.

Boomer!
