Seriously, Okie, if you can't see the difference in the scholarly work of the American Thinker blog and the Cato Journal article ...

But if you care to read the border security article, you will see that it does not advocate open borders like we had before the 60s. It does make conclusions on how best the U.S. can reduce illegal immigration.

I thought anything organized by the Koch Foundation (like the Cato Institute) was of the devil and supposed to be boycotted by Democrats:

I'm sure many donks do despise CATO. It rejects big gov't and supports right to work laws.

CATO is the same group that also doesn't even want Everify. They want very little enforcement of immigration laws. IN fact, if CATO had their way there wouldn't be any immigration laws at all. I could live with their idea of a guest worker program if it wasn't taking any US citizens jobs but they totally ignore the long range costs of low income immigrants. Have you ever once heard CATO suggest that employers be responsible for all costs associated with their "immigrants" or guest workers? How about healthcare costs that will fall on the taxpayers backs? Education costs for their kids that certainly won't be supported by their taxes?

CATO is simply for business (owners) at all costs regardless of the consequences to the taxpayers and/or the nation. I really doubt they even care about territorial sovereignty.
