Tomlin was interviewed on ESPN and mentioned that LJ
handled the Big Ten just fine:surprise:

Good going, Landry. This gives him time to learn more and work on technique/foot work without having the pressure of being thrown under a bus his first season. Good luck and hope all goes well.

Let's just hope that Big Ben doesn't go down in the first half of game 1.

In case you don't watch women's basketball as much as me recently, Carlee Roethlisberger is Ben's little sister. Carlee and Whitney Hand were teammates for years on the Sooner team. Whitney is Landry Jones' wife.

This is AWESOME.

I'm a huge Steeler fan!

Bold prediction... LJ will have a better career than Bradord. I love both these guys but I think LJ is much better than most Sooner fans seem to think.

... that may not be such a bold prediction though, it would be difficult to have a worse career than Sam has had up to this point. :(

What have you been smoking? LJ will be fortunate to have as many starts in his career than Bradford has up to this point. Sam has been fine. Call me when Landry goes through 3 OCs in 3 years with a crappy line and a throwaway cast of WRs.

yeah this is a completely clueless thing to post. sam nearly took a 2 win team to the playoffs his rookie year, got injured and had a terrible sophomore season but rebounded this past year with a very good 21/13 TD/INT ratio. he is regarded as one of the bright young stars at the QB position and now that he has good coaching and management, i will be surprised if he doesn't develop into a top 5 QB in the league down the road.

I was worried when LJ opted to stick around when his stock was sky-high, but he will still no doubt earn a VERY fine living in the league.

Best wishes to a class guy. He deserves good things.

This is the absolute best thing that could have happened to LJ.

He won't have to walk in and play on day one. The likelihood is that LJ will be the third string QB, so barring some crazy injury to both Roethlisberger and Gradkowski, LJ should have plenty of time to learn how to be an NFL QB. Heck, if he ends up being a career back-up for 10 years, that'd be a nice career.

Probably a lot of people have never heard of Don Stock's career at Miaimi, but he collected lots of paychecks with the NFL, played some, and didn't get beat to death.

^^^^This^^^^ Big Ben should be good for LJ to study, since
he's mostly a pocket passer...

Don Strock. Danny White.

Except Danny almost got killed via Wilber Marshall...

Anyone think that if Justin Brown gets on the field that he'll hear it from the psu faithful?

Playing for Pittsburgh will be a shock to his system. What, I don't have to throw it 50 times a game?
