Sooner-related because AD's Viking uniform was one of them :)

Here's the Miami Dolphins one (http://nikeinc.com/news/miami-dolphins-unveil-new-refined-uniform-design-for-2013-season#/gallery/19513). (via Nike.com)

Here's the Minny Vikings one (http://www.vikings.com/media-vault/photo-gallery/New-Vikings-Uniforms-Close-Up-Images/6668447e-2237-41b8-84d2-51e9b000d9a7#a85ac2ac-1c19-4716-a956-8b1ba6bda22f). (via Vikings.com)

And the Jax Jaguars one (http://espn.go.com/blog/playbook/fandom/post/_/id/21215/uni-watch-analysis-new-jaguars-uniforms) (via ESPN.com)

Because some don't like to click on links, here's a sample of each:

Mostly new number and name fonts, but the Dolphins also got a new team logo

I don't want to start a new thready on this, but it's semi-related since Justin Blackmon just modeled the new Jags unis last week: He's reportedly suspended for 4 games to start the next season.

Anybody's guess what the Poke moron did this time.

I predict that two-tone Jags helmet is going to be all the rage in the college ranks in a few years.

Nike is ruining football uni's. i sent them some sketches and a resume after I got back from art school in the mid 90's. 2 stitch patterns I designed showed up in some of their hiking shoes. True story brah.

The ironic thing is that this isn't a new phenomena. Remember when SDSU had their red/black helmets? I always thought they looked like crap, just as I think the new Jags helmet looks like crap.

It's not just Nike. I don't know if it's because I'm getting older, or if the designs really are that bad, but uniforms (in all sports) have taken a down turn.

I think that companies are pressured to churn out new unis every few years because that's usually what compels consumers to get new uniforms.

Sometimes the players initiate the change and get a big uptick in sales, like LeBron going to the Heat with a new number, or Kobe switching from No. 8 to No. 24 about a decade ago.

Other times, simply coming up with a new logo, new design or some other new sh!t that doesn't otherwise make sense, is done in the name of increasing sales.

Why else would Nike be conning staunch traditionist schools like OU and Alabama and Ohio State to come out with special edition or retro uniforms for a game or two? To Nike's dismay, we played so horribly at Tech in those new unis that they probably ended up on the sale rack till they were gone afterward :P

Football uniforms in general are getting worse, but Nike seems to be leading the sucky uniform parade.

I personally wish they'd go back to those unis where you could see the quarterback's 6-back abs :triumphant:

Couldn't agree more.
