Sooner baseball has taken care of business against New Orleans so far.. 10-0 and 14-7 of course New Orleans is 6-35 overall so it doesn't mean anything..

Now that's perplexing for the #1 team in the nation.

The Sooners are down 4-1 in the top of the 7th (7 inning game). Two outs. Women on 1st and 2nd.

The batter gets a hit into the outfield, player from 2nd base scores (score now 4-2) and the player from 1st is thrown out at home.

WTF? If you're down two runs in the last inning with two outs, why try for home unless it's clearly uncontested?

I tried to support our Sooner gymnasts but any sport decided by judges computing decimal points is almost unwatchable to me. I'm proud that both finished 2nd but it's a bit disappointing to get that close and not get the title.

I share the frustration with the scoring, but watching the high skill level of the routines blows me away.

Well, the #1 ranked Softball Sooners spanked the #6 Whorns and their ace once again - taking 2 out of 3 in Austin. The score was 5-3.
