6:30 tonight in Austin. Gray vs. their #1 guy.

Can we pretty please win a series here? We haven't won one against them in damn near 20 years. We're better on paper. We're better on the field. Let's get the mojo back on the good guys' side this weekend.

It says that Fox Sports Net will have game 2, but games 1 and 3 are on the shorthorn network.

UT is in the conference cellar with 2-4 conf. record. OU is in first with 5-1 record. We should leave there Sunday evening with two more wins. A sweep would be great but it seems that a Sunday starter has yet to emerge. Choplick has a tender arm and Waltrip hasn't measured up. Perhaps it will be the freshman, Garza who had that great outing at ORU a week and a half ago.

And since we are playing Texas.....

No, he went 6 2/3. Fisher came in to get a huge out in the seventh and pitched the 8th as well. Evans closed the game out. We need to win tomorrow and sew the series up.

Also, it appears that Oberste's hitting streak came to an end tonite.

But a good win nontheless. Getting a one run win on the road, especially in that Austin snakepit, shoud be a boost for the team. We need to take the next two as well and get some separation from the other teams.

SG completely blew that chance. Leadoff double to break up the no hitter and SG doesn't have them bunt Carpenter over. He lets them hit and Carpenter gets caught in a rundown. Horrible baseball decision. We get another hit but give them a chance to bring in their AA closer to shut down the inning. I swear, SG just goes brain-dead against UT.

The last time we beat them in a series was 1998.

Has anyone found a stream for this game? The LHN is completely worthless. At least with OU's deal with FOX, you can actually watch the games.

Also, if this game gets stopped early because of travel restrictions, like has happened in the past at UT, I am going to blow a gasket. There is no way this game should have started at 2.

Huge series win!!!!!! Great to do it against their AA closer as well. We pitched great the whole weekend. We just need the bats to start producing more.

I have been hard on Mayfield, but I have to give it up to him today. Came through with three hits. Hopefully, it will carry over for the rest of the year. This was a huge mental win for this program!!

I wonder what the meltdown would have been, had OU swept the Evil Bevoids, in Austin. They also had just lost two of three in Stillwater, and they have such disdain for all "Okies" that they've probably considered dropping their program.

I wonder if Augie is going to survive another year unless they have a miraculous recovery this year???

the men's sport coaching situ in Austin is on the verge of precarious. wasn't that long ago you'd think Mack, Augie, and Rick Barnes were pretty untouchable.

It's amazing what a 3 run inning will do for your demeanor. I went from "Why do we always **** our pants against horn?" to "Hell yeah! **** you horns!" in 15 mins.

What was so discouraging until that breakout inning was the fact that the Sooners simply could not touch the UT starter. And they were striking out on the guy's changeup. They bring in their fireballing closer and we get to him for three runs. It can be summed in two words: "You never know!!"

Sunny has said more than once in interviews that his guys are fastball hitters. Throw us a bunch of junk and we look like the Bad News Bears.
