The No. 12-ranked University of Oklahoma baseball team, winners of 11 straight, hosts Kansas this weekend at L. Dale Mitchell Park as Big 12 Conference play rolls. Thursday's series opener is set for 6:30 p.m. CT and will be televised live on FOX Sports Oklahoma and FOX College Sports. FOX College Sports will carry Friday's 6:30 p.m. CT clash, while the Saturday finale is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT and will be televised on both FOX Sports Southwest Plus and FOX College Sports. KREF 1400 AM is the radio home of OU baseball.

We really didn't play very well this weekend. SG mentioned it after the game yesterday. Mayfield needs to pull his head out on offense, and especially on defense. He should not have anywhere close to 13 errors at this point in the season. You could live with it if he was lighting it up with his bat, but he has the worst avg on the team.

Does anyone know why Chop did not start today?

It would be great to get back on track on Tuesday and kick the crap out of OSU and Holliday. We need to send a clear message that we are the elite program in the state. It will also set a tone for the most important stretch of the season with back to back road series against UT/BU.

Also, I was listening when they were talking about who was gonna start on Saturday and it was between Chop and Cop. Looks like Sunny ****ed that one up. Cop looked bad. Real bad.

Choplick was sore and they are being extra cautious with him considering his TWO Tommy Johns. So it was more of a medical decision to go Copping.

Mayfield leads the conference in errors with 13. Teammate G. Carey is tied for second with a KSU player with 9.

Thanks, Doom. I figured it had to be something medical with Chop because it was a no brainer to start him.

SG needs to move Jack back in the lineup. Aikin needs to be leading off and Jack needs to be put in the 9 hole. I know he is a captain, and he is one of SG's guys, but he isn't getting it done. We can't mess around these next two weekends. We haven't won a series in Austin since the Ford administration, so this is a huge series this weekend. We have to grow a pair and prove we can beat UT in a series. Auggie owns SG, but the time to turn that around is now. We are better than both UT and BU and need to show it on the diamond the next couple of weekends.

Hopefully, they will find a date to reschedule the Bedlam game. It would suck not to get that home game this year.
