I wonder who decided the team should be shown in an empty arena doing all the cheering?

They aren't in an empty arena. Tonight is the Tip In Club banquet.

Lunardi had predicted OU an 11th seed and SD St. as a 9th seed. This is a pretty even matchup.

Both OU and Iowa St as a 10 seed!

Southern Miss had a 32 RPI ranking and was the highest that didn't make the tourney.

speaking of orange, I am watching the NIT selection show and I didn't see Tennessee get announced. I don't think it was actually Internet fandom rage, but they may have actually turned down the NIT. tee hee, i thought we were beyond that stage but i guess not

i take that back. 2-seed host of mercer. yay?

I love this. I have a lot of confidence that we can win this first game. However, now if we blow a 15 point lead with three minutes left, I don't have to spend the whole first round being annoyed about it.

I would rather be annoyed by it for many rounds than just one

ESPN has us losing the first round. Basically, it was SDSU with a 58% chance to win.

I was giggling as the experts were basically picking the higher seeds repeatedly. I know that's how the odds typically go, but seriously "experts," why are you doing a big arse Bracketology show if you're just going to tell people to take the higher seed

But yeah, Vegas has us as about a 3-pt underdog at this point. But, Vegas also favors Poke by about 3 over Quack

From what I've been able to find, it sounds like SDSU has one stud (G-Jamaal Franklin), and he is good. He's the only player in the country to lead his team in points, assists and rebounds. With that said, they look very beatable...BUT that depends on which OU team shows up...the first half of the Longhorn game Sooners, or the second half of the Longhorn game Sooners.

IF (and I don't want to jinx our boys) we get by SDSU, then I really think OU could give G'town fits. The Hoya's didn't finish the year particularly impressive, and they can be really streaky. OU has shown they can play with good teams, why not G'town?!

I wasn't happy with drawing Georgetown in the second round, but after looking, that might be our best possible draw as a 10 seed. I definitely didn't want Miami or Duke.

Agree 100%. Of all the 2 seeds, I think only Ohio State and G'town were the lesser of the evils.

Just wondering Badger, do you think OSU should be an underdog in this game? To a team that turns it over 23 times a game on average with the players we have that can really run the floor?
