You knew the nuclear shooting would eventually go cold, but unfortunately it happened when the defense feel asleep.

We are in the big dance even if we lose this game and go one and done in the Big 12 tourny.

I used to feel that way, but the RPI has been taking a steady tumble, even after wins, due to SOS dropping.

They were a projected 10-seed before (terrible) TCU loss. If they lose to ISU it puts them in coin-flip territory. Wish it wasn't true.

I'd say no bubble no matter what.

It's really better to go in as a 11-12 seed in a field like this.

If your goal is the Sweet 16, I guess I can't disagree with that!

Give me a break people. This team is not on the bubble.

Yea, we are probably still ok, but **** that loss doesn't help..

True. We went from playing for a 6 seed next week to probably 8 at best. It's a shame to lose to such a terrible team but we punched our ticket with the last two wins.

If ISU wins two Big 12 games, I wouldn't be surprised if it knocks OU out.

Isu is in. OU is in. Baylor could get in if it makes some noise next week.

Let's just beat ISU and remove all doubt.

This team isn't on the bubble, but it's as close to being on the bubble as a team can be.

The problem is that the bad loses (and lets face it, they were bad) are at the tail end of the season. Fortunately, the RPI and SOS numbers should be enough to keep the Sooners in the tournament.

If the Sooners lose to ISU, then there could be some cause for concern, but even then, not likely. Fortunately, some of the real bubble teams haven't stepped up to make their claim, so short of getting routed Thursday, the Sooners should be in at a 10 seed.

At least we're in postseason again. Three years is too long of a drought

RPI fell from 22 to 34.

Lunardi still has us in.

I'd agree with that. OU is better than ISU, and should win the first round game, but this is the same team that blew a 22 point lead at Texas and just lost to TCU. Something tells me they will take care of business Thursday and remove all doubt.

Maybe the added exposure of ESPN's cameras in Norman on Sunday can help the program?

NCAA or NIT. Doesn't matter they'll be one and done in either tourney. Poop.

Yes, but its a lot more prestigious to lose in the first round of the 'Big Dance'.

A collapse down the stretch. Definitely one of those snatching defeat from the jaws of victory scenarios. With everything on the line they can't beat TCU. Incredibly disappointing.

I would say Iowa St. is in the NCAA for sure now. That leaves 2 teams left in the Big 12 tournament who won't make it unless they win the Big 12 tourney, Texas and Baylor. The worst thing to happen to OU now would be one of those 2 teams pulling some major upsets and getting the automatic bid.

I still believe we are in, although 11 seed at best..what a ****e end to the year..

Disagree. Every game is a new opportunity. They'll have a chance against a 5 or 6 seed.

Yep. Motivation plays a big role, and I'm not sure how motivated OU was today. Thursday or Friday will be be different story. This will be the first (and last) tournament appearance for all these guys, if nothing else, they'll be competitive.

Hopefully not the last for Hield, Hornbeak, et al.

Take your medicine and root for my Pokes! Just this once.

The last few weeks of OU basketball have totally baffled me. They are better than this.

edit: OSU eliminates Baylor 74-72. You are welcome.

Thank you for getting rid of Baylor. If anything, I don't have to see those jerseys again for awhile.

Here is a fine example of the silliness that went on in that game:

I don't know if lock is the right word, barely in would be more accurate. When you can't even get 1 Top 25 vote in the polls, its difficult to be 100% confident.

not one person who does the bracketology stuff has us in the final 4 in, we will be a low seed but we will be safely in unless the committee sees it 100% different than everyone else, which would suck

Yep. I was starting to wonder about some of these folks and the posts about us not making it in. This is a good team when they are hot and they can get really really hot.
