Died today after complications from a surgery. He was 68.
Fluid, fast. Sad.

FYI on that Video at Woodstock.....They ran out of film during TYA's performance at Woodstock, that's why they blended 3 images into 1 during the final cut from the 35 mm film.,Recording administered by: WMG.

Thanks for the clip Stoup. Too bad the end cut off where someone rolls a watermelon up on the stage, Alvin picks it up, puts it over his shoulder and walks off the stage.

So many great bands then. TYA, Grand Funk Railroad, Iron Butterfly, Cream, ELP, Pink Floyd, Uriah Heep, The Band, Canned Heat, Guess Who.....the list goes on and on....

Heh. I'm sure it's on another shot somewhere. I just found that one right off. Great Moments at Woodstock for sure.

68 is pretty good for a rock 'n rolla from that era. I imagine there were a lot of miles on that body. Keith Richards defies the laws of the rocker life span.

Bummer. One of my favorites. Was in a liquor store today in Loveland, CO and they were jamming to I'm Going Home. Didn't know he was dead though till I saw this. RIP Alvin. My sister has gotta be bummed. She had posters of him back in the day on her bedroom wall.
One of the greats for sure. RIP Alvin.
