Weekend at Bernie's was funny. The 2nd Movie....not so much. A 3rd one with guys that looked like BHO, HC and Saddam Hussien II....you'd think that movie would have been done already if it was really funny. I still think Raul Castro with a Dead Fidel sitting on his knee like a ventriloquist dummy might be funnier.

Just from the initial requests for some of our Representatives to leave the Country....it would seem it might be leaning towards it being worse. Maybe if they are able to get through an election without a Military Coup, things will get better.

I looked around at some of the articles written about Chavez' economics. Salon magazine has a story about Chavez "economic miracle", the writer even makes reference to America's "war on voting" to soften some of Chavez tactics:

Then, I saw articles from The Economist, The Atlantic, and BBC that referred to his legacy as "rotten", "sad" and an "economic muddle", saying he has crippled his country's main source of income (oil) to redistribute wealth to the masses. Venezuela exports about half as much oil now as it did before Chavez took office. Who to believe?

You probably know, but to those that don't, the Gulf Coast refineries well tooled to take in the crap Venezualean oil. High in sulfur content and thick, it made for great upgrading at the riefineries and good margins. Chavez closed the spigot, the Tar Sands bitumen would be a good substitute, hence the pipeline to the Gulf Coast to upgrade this product.
