This kid must have been insufferable in high school.

I've thought so for a while, and it's becoming more apparent as time goes on that Johnny Football is pretty much a heaping POS.

"Manziel said this past week that he would be taking his classes online in the spring due to his celebrity on the Texas A&M campus."

What a freaking joke this guy is. Like he's the first ever big man on campus. I bet a hundred bucks against a plug nickel he doesn't do any of the coursework himself.

This seems like a big loophole. Have a friend sell t-shirts in your name then "sue" him. Keep the money and amateur status.

I'm with JK on this one. Can't wait to see the johnny foosball story come to a firey, dismal, crash and burn. Its not a matter of if but when.

I think his combination of arrogance, ego, and the nature of football could lead to a collision that will diminish his abilities early.

i really cant see what stands out about this guy besides he looks too normal to be THAT good. i'd still take lee edgerton or terrance gunnells, hell even chris smith over this loser. maybe everyone needs to just go outside for a lil bit and enjoy their day.

I would like to see that honker looking nose sticking out of an ear hole in his helmet. I think next year will be a bit of a change for him. I'm betting the that defenses will have something to say about it next season.

What's funny, is that there is no way this kid was smart enough to think this up by himself. There are some adults (probably A&M alums) that are in his ear looking for money already. Scum.

May Bama whip that *** next year. The End.

I'm sure it was his parents who thought this up, or their corporate lawyers.

What confuses me the most is the NCAA ruling saying he can keep any money from the lawsuit. It's still profiting from his supposedly amateur football status. They wouldn't let Jeremy Bloom keep endorsements from his Olympic skiing yet allow this -- just more idiocy and lack of sense in the NCAA rules.

So now he's "legally" being paid as well as not going to class. Seems legit.

What a ridiculous loophole for getting money. Any booster can intentionally "infringe" on his copyright, get "sued" and hand all the money over to him.
