I think some of you are under the misconception they're talking about illegal aliens. No. they are talking about green card holders who can be denied citizenship if they have been a public charge, or commit a felony, or don't have financial support above the poverty level. green card holders get their passports from their home country embassy or consulate. Just like a U.S. citizen may have reasons to visit a U.S. embassy or consulate abroad - resident aliens have reasons to visit their country's embassy or consulate.

The problem is our government. The USDA has programs to justify its own existence. Quit blaming illegal aliens for your unhappiness in life and put your energy into reducing the role of gov't in our lives.

On a related note, did you know 56% of Oklahoma public school children qualify for free/reduced lunch program? They advertise by sending home applications with the kids at the beginning of the school year.

I never said they should get food stamps. I said you can't assume they are illegal aliens. Fine with me if the food stamp program is zeroed out.
