Despite having 2 kids with 2 different men, she was never married. Her boyfriend (Baby Daddy #2) died last month of a gun shot wound that she said was a suicide but the legal authorities were still investigating the cause of death.

I like SOME country music. Being a person that shoots video and what used to be film, they aren't very good. Eye candy is nice, but it doesn't make a video for me.

Fame chews up pretty much everyone. A depressed, unstable person is just as likely to self destruct out of the spotlight, as in it. Add to the fact that many creative people are self-conscious with needs for validation that drove them to be famous in the first place, it's a bad recipe when you are given anything you want...

I think she had some catchy tunes on her first 2 CDs and she was heavily promoted by her record label. But sales for her went down on her 2nd and 3rd CDs plus some negative (non-illegal) stories started coming out about her and eventually her record label broke it off with her. After that, it was a string of poor choices in men and then the drug abuse started.

I have complete sympathy for her when she got beat up by her estranged boyfriend and though he got 30 days in jail, she later decided to get back with him and then became pregnant with her first child by him. Then she attempted suicide for the first time (pill overdose) while pregnant.

It was hard for me to be a fan after that (understatement of the year).
