I was going through my ticket collection and noticed these did not have the dates on them, can anyone tell me what years these tickets are from?

Why is OSU listed as the home team and why are the tickets orange? Counterfeits.

I'll give you tree fiddy for em.

Are you sure? I don't remember buying tickets from osu for our home games. Of course this was a little while ago and my memory is not what it once was.

This colorado ticket is brownish gold, so I think maybe OU used to make the tickets the color of the visiting team.

That sounds a little more likely. I remember seeing my dads back in the 80'a and they did do that I think.

I'm guessing they're from the 80's.

OU played CU in Norman in 81, 83, 85, 87 & 89
OU played OSU in Norman in 80, 82, 84, 85, 86, 87 & 89 (wow, 7 games in Norman in that decade).

When did OU put in a natural surface? Because those tickets look like the old sports turf (except possible the first OSU ticket, but that has a much smaller endzone board than the one there now).

The grass went in before the 1994 season. That was the year after the old brillo pa... er, tartan turf claimed Cale Gundy via a concussion vs. Colorado. You could also attribute the Schooner flipping that same day on this but I digress.

BTW - 1985 was the Ice Bowl in Stillwater.

Your Colorado ticket stub is identical to one that is in my desk drawer - it was the last game my older brother went to with our dad prior to said brother heading off to school... at Colorado. (Traitor.) That was in 1989.

Hope that helps.

That OSU ticket is from 1993, the year we drilled them 31-0 in a cold rain. They only passed the 50 once that game, on an OU penalty.

I was there. My buddy's old lady waited it out in the car during the second half.

I have to add, the top ticket is from 1993. The one that is $30.

I would love it if more people could post older tix and say when they're from. There doesn't appear to be any resources out there for what tickets (and ticket prices) used to look like, unless its a bowl game or RRS.

We could put together a thread with them or something... it would be more useful (and maybe equally hilarious) than a meltdown thread

Good call on the 85 game. I took the dates from Soonerstats.com, and obviously didn't double check them. Definitely should have remembered the ice bowl!

Gundy had bad luck against Colorado, he was tearing it up there in Boulder when he sprained his ankle. I still think we would have won that game.
