The Chicago Sun-Times reported late Monday afternoon that Walsh, a Tea Party Republican favorite who represented Illinois' 8th District, filed a request on Feb. 1 in Cook County Circuit Court to drastically reduce his child support obligation due to his employment being "terminated through no voluntary act of his own."

In the filing, according to the Sun-Times, Walsh's attorneys claimed the ex-congressman does not have adequate income with which to make payments such as the $2,134 payment his former wife Laura Walsh's attorney claims he skipped last month.

What would a Tea Party person say to someone who knew a bill was coming for three months and still didn't pay it? This was the clown who actually had the gall to say his opponent, double amputee veteran Tammy Duckworth was not a hero.

Sorry I don't believe it. This guy helped write the soundtrack to The Warriors so I won't buy your character assassination.

Is this the guitarist? Anyway, I hope his one adult child (that is yet to be emancipated) doesn't starve to death after missing out on the $2100 for January. Poor kid.

I view support for a child as a responsibility of both parents, regardless of employment status or monetary means.

But the courts and the government don't.

So, I hope he can get employed again and get back to child support payments. But if he doesn't, then it's basically just like the ex-NFL player after his career ends --- the baby mamas and babys no longer get a share of millions in salary
