OU offered OT Dionte Savage (6'5" 340 lbs, Arizona Western College). Savage is a JUCO kid, that is currently committed to Baylor. Word is that Savage will take his official visit this weekend (2/1/13)

Every time we find a big DT we trim them bown to 295-305.I have often wondered if the fact that many teams out there let their DTS get up around 330 while we want ours 20-30 pounds lighter has hampered our ability to get run stuffer DTs to come here.Maybe these guys don't want to be limited diet-wise and worked hard.

Good question. I believe at the school that have huge DTs (Alabama), they let their DTs get as big as possible (without losing what made them a great recruit). I'm really hoping that's the direction Stoops is heading.

Glad we were able to beat out Fresno State, Southern Illinois, and Akron for this recruit. Just kidding, I trust the coaches. Rivals has him at 345 lbs, any chance Stoops wants to convert him to a nose tackle for our new 3-4?

The Zips have climbed from last place n the recruiting wars. Is Gerry _______ still coaching there? (former domer coach)

Savage was committed to Baylor before he flipped, so there's that.

OU is still in a good spot to land Josh Outlaw, so Savage may be more of an insurance move.
