Kids Is Funny

Saw a group of teens in the park this week, maybe 15 or 16 years of age, who all showed up at once at a designated location. They were hanging out and then they gathered in a tight group and one came back from a car with a plastic bag and he pulled out the illicit item he was secreting: several cans of beer. Then they starting drinking from a few cans and you can tell they suddenly thought they were the coolest guys on earth. Nevermind that there were no girls in sight, they thought they were the daddy. They had no idea how amusing they were, but I guess we used to be there.

In high school, we always met up at the McDonalds off of May and Hefner (in OKC), I think it was torn down and a new one built closer to the intersection, but anyway, that was out meet up spot. Then we would go to some undeveloped housing project out by Quail Springs and someone would pull out the bag-o-beer. We did think we were pretty damn cool.

Damn...Now I'm thinking about my own teenage boys. Thanks a lot lex!
