Whataburgers taquito's are decent. Better when you add in their Picante sauce.

The Valero has fresh breakfast burrito's that are pretty good (and cheaper then whataburger), that's what I normally go for any more.

However, I have been known to enjoy the crap out of some taquito's. It was always good when I went to this whataburger just outside of Corpus, not sure why, but there's where about twice as big as ones from up here in H-town.

If you don't have plans for the hour or so after, you always go for the breakfast burrito. Always.

There's a little Phillips 66 just west of I-35 at Exit 72 in Pauls Valley. Go in there and you can get one already made with eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, cheese, with/without jalapenos. About $3. More than you can eat. Or, they'll make you one with whatever you want on it. Also have the best breakfast sammiches anywhere for about the same $3. I also get a lot of winning scratcher lottery tickets there too.

Fast food joints really are embracing the breakfast thing now. Must be a high profit margin

Now? I think it's always been a big part of their business model.

I was once told by a guy who managed a series of Sonics that the materials and equipment to serve breakfast for them cost less than $1000 to get initially going. From that point on, it's just replenishing sausage and eggs for huge profits. It didn't make sense NOT to offer breakfast in that situation.

Bout 15 years ago when I was out in California, the Taco Bells sold breakfast. They had some pretty damn good breakfast burritos. Hadn't ate at TB in a long time so I'm not sure if they all serve breakfast now or no.

For breakfast burritos, it's hard to beat Sonic. For sandwiches, I like Chick-fil-a, Braums, and Carls Jr.

The ones over here in Arkansas are open at breakfast time but only offer the regular menu. No actual breakfast items.
