A friend sent me this pic a while back..This is the strength and conditioning coach's office at LSU..I was going to post it with my senior bowl stuff but thought this was worthy of it's own thread.

And none of the names appear on NFL rosters, do they?

That oughta be required in every program...and...tie their
scholly to not appearing on that list.

sam montgomery and tharold simon are two of their top NFL prospects. montgomery will likely be a first round pick.

As of right now...But with this kind of thing, it opens the door for someone else to bump them out of position.

Tony Jefferson?

Another safety prospect that is trending in the opposite direction is Oklahoma safety Tony Jefferson. Scouts are saying that Jefferson has been getting trashed by some of his former coaches for horrible practice habits and a lack of work ethic in the weight room. Jefferson has a lot of physical talent, but it is really going to hurt his draft stock to have former coaches telling NFL teams to pass on him. A couple sources said they wouldn't be surprised if Jefferson has a free fall in the draft from a second-day pick to the third day. It will be really important for Jefferson to test well and interview well at the Combine.

If Jefferson's work ethic was crappy, I'd hate to know how bad everybody else's work ethic was. He and Colvin were about the only bright spots on defense this year.

Yeah, I saw that..Not surprised as stills and Jefferson are leaving partly due to Schmidt and workout concerns...

If he was dogging it, I wonder how good he would have been if he had put more effort in. The guy was amazing at times.

Is Smitty a problem or is it the athletes lack of hard work?

One of the odd things that has come out of that class is that the kids could not handle success. They both made names for themselves as Freshman and then thought they could coast into a 1st round pick. The more this stuff plays out, I think we are better off if the majority of the freshman class redshirts.
