Did anybody else laugh when the announcers said this last night? I thought yeah, we have the hurry-up gear and the gear where we run up to the line and call an audible with one second left on the play clock. I think they call that the non-hurry-up gear.

Anybody who has watched us since the Florida game knows that we run a hurry-up for about 3-4 plays in any given drive and then slow down.

OU runs a no-huddle. They hurry at times. The 2010 offense was the fastest, statistically, of the 5 years of the no-huddle.

I am beginning to despise the no huddle, especially since we've gotten into a habit of burning all of our times outs in quarters one and three because we don't get the play in on time.

Is it possible for the defenders to watch the play clock when all this is happening? I figure they probably can't really afford to do that, but if they could, it could really help them jump the snap when we wait until one second to start the play.
