I was there in 2000 too. I didn't realize then how rare that year would prove to be. We've come pretty close to it since, but I feel like we've fallen way off since '03.

yeah, 2008 was just pitifulWe didn't play many recruits from the '08 recruiting class in that '08 season. haha. My point is that recruiting has been dropping off, and every time we have a WTF game, it DOES seem to hurt recruiting. That shouldn't come as a surprise. That LosuR game last year was one of those games, and this one tonight was pretty bad. We have created an obstacle to overcome, that we didn't used to have. I'm not raving angry or disconsolate. Just mentioning an apparent recruiting situation. It IS only a game.

Believe me, I was thinking about 2008 when I posted that. We had a great year that season, aside from that little loss in early Oct, which had us rely on the BCS standings to get us into the NC game. I'm taking nothing away from '08, but our defense that year was not exactly stellar either.

It wasnt stellar but our defense did an amazing job in that game ..our offense was the culprit..one interception( a freak one) in redzone and 4 running plays trying for a td. Did you even see those 2 interceptions in that game..they were some great defensive plays by florida..
