View Full Version : Tired of our Dink and Dunk Offense

Where is our deep threat? We all decided that we have a very good bunch of receivers and a more than capable QB. It seems like 90+% of our play calls are at or within a few yards of the line of scrimmage. I'm not calling for any heads, because there are more issues on the team, but come on. Huepel needs to wake up.

Ya gotta have an offensive line that can block and protect. Unfortunatly we don't have one. ;(

It was like the Norte Dame game.

The offense racked up some yardage, but few points.

Where is our deep threat?

Hitting drags and slants because A&M has consistently rolled deep 4 on us all night.

It's not there because A&M took it away.

I'm ready for Dunk and then Dink.

* Our line doesn't give time for the long ball.
* Landry isn't that accurate with the long ball. Definitely no White or Bradford.

A&M was not rolling four until the middle of the third after they built a lead. Huepel's play calling was an absolute joke. He has shown absolutely no ability to adjust during the games. He is the worst OC in the Stoops tenure. He is about on par with Dick Winder.

Horsecrap. Watch the film.

They were blowing corners to safety depth from the first play from scrimmage. They'd bring corners up on occasion and every once in awhile sink the SS low late, but for the majority of play they were base in Cover 4. Definitely with changes, but a TON of Cover 4.

Sumlin talked about it after the game. They played a lot of man in the first half.

Point is for us morans that we have to be able to get atleast 1 play for more than 20 yards. No running game and a "spread attack" tha only attacks the sideline is bunk BS.

A&M took away the deep ball. You take what they give.

The OL has been great in pass protection this year. Not sure why some of you are thinking otherwise.

I'll take 9 and 10 yarders all day long. It's giving up the 20 and 25 yarders that bothers me.

Offense was not the problem...

The FGs early hurt.

The 3 and outs in the 3Q sealed their fate.

But I agree, the D was worse.

Well then the receivers suck and couldnt get open or Landry cant throw pass 20 yards. Which is it?

Calling running plays when we can't run the ball was one of the offense's problems. The slowest hurry up offense EVAR is the other problem.

IA&M took it away with scheme. They played the bend-but-don't-break like ND did.

I actually preferred them going slow. Last thing I wanted to see was more Manziel.

When our hurry up offense hurries up we actually do pretty good. When we slow down is when the problems start.
