Halftime is a little late for predictions :) I'm surprised it's this close with Clemson moving the ball well. But my original prediction is that LSU pulls away and it's not close by the end. I'm sticking with that prediction because LSU is more physical and that will eventually wear out Clemson or cause turnovers or both.

I thought Boyd was great. The LSU D made it tough all night, be he pulled it off. A lot of QBs would not have been able to play the whole game taking the hits he was. If Watkins had been playing, woulda been lots easier.

Brent's D played pretty good, I thought, especially the D-Line. LSU's offense is not exactly high octane, though.

No, South Carolina would probably block it (as Florida would FSU). I don't think they would want any more potentially real strong teams without adding a new TV market, they already have that area covered with the Cocks. Why else did they add a team like Missouri, a new TV market and a traditional mid-pack team that wouldn't threaten the big boys. A&M they knew could be a good team at times but I don't think they expected them to be what they were at the end of the season. I expect Missouri to be nothing more than a mid-pack team as the Texas recruiting pipeline will be diminishing with fewer games in Texas and less exposure. Being banished to the SEC East probably hurt their recruiting and I doubt they can pick up as many Florida kids to replace the loss of Texas kids.

Loved the outcome of this game and kudos to Clemson and BV's defense. I haven't seen that look on Lester's face since the last time he got the chicken poop kicked out of him in Norman. Wonder if the yelled "Let 'er, Rip" before kickoff because I know he liked their chances.
