WASHINGTON (AP) — Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has been admitted to a New York hospital after the discovery of a blood clot stemming from the concussion she sustained earlier this month.

Clinton spokesman Philippe Reines says her doctors discovered the clot during a follow-up exam Sunday. Reines says Clinton is being treated with anti-coagulants.

Clinton was admitted to New York-Presbyterian Hospital so doctors can monitor the medication over the next 48 hours.

Reines says doctors will continue to assess Clinton's condition, "including other issues associated with her concussion."

This is not her first bout with blood clots....she had one behind her knee several years ago. (That's a big hiding place BTW)
But, agree that she probably got it at the same time as the diagnosed concussion.
You'd a thunk that she would have had an MRI early on....just to rule it out!

Reasons why you can politically hate her (and her husband) but still wish her well health-wise:

1- Her political career is done. The politics are just too stressful for anyone that isn't in a position for life (like the Pope or a monarch like Queen Elizabeth II) to stay with it when their health deteriorates.

2- [B]Have a heart... selfishly or selflessly. To wish ill on someone for political reasons reflects poorly on yourself and others that people may associate with you. So, either pretend to have a heart so that people don't think you're a jerk, or have a heart so that others don't think that WE are jerks too.

3- Hillary isn't the one you hate. She never had a leadership role in Senate, her role as Secretary of State was largely a nothing token job to keep her out of Barack's way, and her husband Bill was officially the president. If you hate "Clinton," hate the right Clinton.

4- Her story is a sympathetic one. So, she has a wealthy family, a successful daughter and by most standards, a successful political career. But, she aspired to be so much more and was heartily embarrassed along the way. Her husband doesn't deserve the title "husband" for everything he's done during their marriage. She was a shoo-in to be the first-ever female nominee for president... and instead got beat by a nobody n00b who had an even more inspiration first-ever title than her. And when she wanted to ride her presidential campaign to a bigger Senate role, the old farts were like "No, no, you have to have seniority in the Senate, little lady" so, she tries to once again be SOMEBODY in politics, so be subjected to foreigners asking her about her husband's opinion on things (which turned out to be bad English, and an overreaction from Hillary).

So, set aside your Clinton hate just this once. For the holidays, at least?

Well badger, my idea is this.

I don't wish ill will or harm on anyone. But at the same time I won't pray for everyone either just because they fall sick or haave an ailment.

She is part of the problem when it comes to american politics. But its her life that she decides to lead that makes it hard for me to say a prayer for her.

She just doesn't need the prayers. She has the best medical teams working for her. If her health goesw further south than what it is, then God has different plans.

I'm not gonna argue with anyone on this anymore, because I can guarantee you that I'm not going to change my opinion on praying for the sick, and if others aren't in agreement on that, then I wouldn't expect them to change their opinion, either.

Personally, I have been resorting to prayer a lot more lately, as baby badger is now about 9 months old and her sleep patterns are starting to... well, disappear. So, if you'd rather Hillary not get better, perhaps God is getting sick of my constant prayer nagging and won't pay attention to a tiny request to consider Hillary's health.

I don't know about all that. I guess it's possible. I think what is really going on is that some folks really want there to be something wrong but there isn't.

I shook my head today when Fox is reporting that Al Queda is prepared to attack the Embassy in Yemen. As they tell everything they say they know, they suddenly lower their voice with a short disclaimer saying "We asked the White House for a response to this and we didn't get a response".

Maybe because it's not true?
