I'm looking forward to this game. It's the first or second in the list of games that hold some interest. Both teams have superb running backs, but I'm calling for UCLA in a high scoring squeaker.

We do? Most Baylor fans focus their attention on our old SWC rivals. Baylor looks at the old Big 8 schools about like most south schools looked at the old Big XII north.

Honestly, I never heard strong feelings about OU one way or the other. We were excited to beat OU because we had never done it before and OU is the best team year in and year out in the conference but that excitement wasn't based on any sort of hate.

I'm sure there are plenty who hate OU but honestly OU just isn't at the forefront of anyone's ill will.

The last four games has been redemption for Coach Phil Bennett and his defense. Amazing turnaround against some pretty potent offenses including UCLA tonight.

Well, i guess in their win over K-State, the purple cats could have scored some more, but besides this UCLA game, the Baylor defense has not been very effective. Maybe they'll have a coaching change there, and Briles will move on to a hotshot program, like the Oregon Ducks, if Chip Kelly leaves for the pros.

You know who our DC is, right? And that we just hired him last year? We'd be hard pressed to find someone better. It is taking time, but our defense is leap and bounds better than what it was earlier in the season.

As for Briles, he's said and given every indication he'll finish his career at Baylor. In the last 5-6 years, we've poured about 300 million dollars into football so there aren't a lot of places to go that can match that. He himself just got a new contract with 3.5m a year + bonuses.

I'm happy for Baylor. They looked good tonight and finished strong in what most outside of Waco thought would be a down year. Good for them.

Here's an interesting scenario. Kansas hires Briles (I dunno, offer him $10 mill a year, guaranteed for life? At some number, he says 'yes'). Given a free hand, how long does it take Briles to turn that program around?

And they weren't bad in their game against us either. On paper, our best win this season was against the horns. In reality, our best wins were probably Baylor, TCU and OSU.
