I got one of my boys a mini iPad for Christmas, and it's the version that is set up on my AT&T account. My question is, will it use WiFi when available? Or, will it always use the AT&T network?

I'm trying to think of questions that I know will come up tomorrow, and hoping some of you iPad users can help. I have the original iPad (iPad 1?), but it's only the WiFi version, so I'm not sure how this one will work.

you should be able to set it up to ask to join WiFi if available, and it will generally default to WiFi if it's connected.

One is a tool to access information so you can know it all. The other is a tool used by someone who already knows it all.

The one place the iPad falls short is it won't run Adobe Flash. So there are a lot of videos on the web you cannot watch. For some reason Jobs hated flash player.

because Flash sucks, that's why.

I have two iPads. It is becoming more and more rare to find websites I cannot access because of the Adobe/Apple kerfuffle...well, except my own. Sigh.

Turns out, Adobe isn't so keen on flash now anyways...

I had an Android phone for two years, the times that I needed Flash were so rare that it was no longer an issue with me. Most sites that use Flash have an app that bypasses the need for Apple products or a mobile site that does the same....and yes, Adobe is moving away from Flash.

"Salad Fingers" was my favorite Flash.

Personally I got the iPad (back in March) with only WiFi. Its extremely rare and temporary where I can't get a connection and then I use my phone.
